Worms 2 is a tactical battle simulation that includes many different types of units for gamers to play. As the name suggests, you're essentially playing as a general who leads an army of worm-like creatures to victory over an opposing force of similar creatures.

If you've played the first game, then you've already been introduced to the game's unusual collection of weapons as well as it's off-beat sense of humor. You'll find that both are back in a big way in this sequel. On the other hand, you don't have to have played the original to appreciate this new title because it's easy enough to simply pick up and jump into.

The basic controls are much like an RTS title, so you might even be able to get away without reading any of the documentation. That being said, those who take the time to master all of the keyboard commands will get a lot more out of Worms 2, especially if they plan to be competitive in network play.

In fact, the multiplayer feature is probably the best part of the game. Player-vs-player matches can quickly become extremely frantic, which is a big part of the appeal of them.

You'll want to disable the timer regardless of whether you're playing against a human or the AI, but other than that you should find that the title provides just the right amount of challenge as you master the basics and take on bigger enemies.

Skilled players can even be sure that they'll have a larger percentage of their forces survive, which can lead to some big bonuses.
